See the world at its very best!

When is it time for a new glasses/contact lens prescription?

Many people think about their prescription only when they have trouble seeing to drive.  Perhaps less obvious, there are many subtle but important, reasons to have a prescription updated.

Check all that apply

1. Do you need to hold objects a little further away to be able to see them clearly?

2. Are you having difficulty reading small print?

3. Have you needed to increase the text size on your cell phone or computer?

4. Are you experiencing frequent episodes of eye strain or headaches?

5. Do you notice ghosting, double images or hazy vision?

6. Are the lenses in your current glasses scratched or discolored?

7. Will your current lenses not stay clean?

8. Are you bothered by glare or bright sunlight?

9. Is your child having difficulty in school, struggling with reading, turning or tilting their head to watch TV?

10. Is your child complaining of frequent headaches or is your child simply a year older than the last time they had their prescription checked?

11. As an adult, has it been more than 2 years since your last had your eyes examined?

If you answered YES to any of the above, it is time to have your eyes examined and explore the newest technology in glasses and contact lenses. It is not uncommon to find that even small changes to a prescription may reveal clarity of vision that you did not know you were missing.  Even if your prescription hasn’t changed, it is very important to have the internal health of your eyes evaluated every 2 years.  Children’s prescriptions commonly change from year to year.  They grow quickly, and their prescription can change just as quickly so annual eye exams are very important.

After all, knowing that your eyes are healthy is not as simple as seeing well.
